Know what needs fixing before you spend more on recovery.
A Merchant Center audit provides a structured look at the information that affects your store’s eligibility and Shopping experience. Instead of guessing which change might help, the goal is to identify real, actionable discrepancies and put them in priority order.
Areas covered by the audit
Business identity, transparency, customer support, and on-site information.
Shipping information, refund terms, returns, fulfilment promises and checkout clarity.
Titles, identifiers, availability, pricing and landing-page consistency.
Relevant notices, feed settings, country targeting, linked resources and account context.
What you receive
- An explanation of the most important issues identified within the agreed audit scope
- A prioritized list of corrections, distinguishing urgent risks from lower-priority improvements
- Suggested next steps for your store and ecommerce platform
- Optional implementation proposal where deeper technical fixes are required
Audit depth depends on access and package scope. I may use a multi-point internal checklist, but don’t treat a checklist score as a Google approval score; Google does not issue an official eComDoctor compliance rating.
Audit versus recovery
Audit is for understanding and planning. Recovery adds correction and review-preparation work within the agreed scope. A brief initial screening is different from a full paid diagnostic review.
